Olympic Weightlifting Program

Fall 2023 Registration Opens on September 1st at 7:00 a.m.

Snatch, Clean, Jerk!

Learn, develop or fine-tune your lifting technique as you build strength to move barbells like a champion! We offer 2 levels of programming to help you master your Olympic lifts:

  • Improve your Lift (Returns for Winter 2024)

Session Period: Mon. Sep. 18 to Mon. Nov. 20 (8-weeks)

  • No class on Mon. Oct. 9 (Thanksgiving Holiday) and Mon. Nov. 6 & Wed. Nov. 8 (Reading Week)

Eligibility & Pricing:

Students: U of T students paying incidental fees for the current term can access this program for an additional fee. 

Members: Anyone who has a current Sport & Rec membership can access this programming for an additional fee.

Non-U of T Student (Staff/Faculty, Sport & Rec Member) $255 + HST

This program requires registration to participate. Explore which program is the best fit for you in one of the drop down options below. 

This 8-week program has you training twice a week with a seasoned coach and team, and will leave you feeling strong and confident in the gym. If you've always wanted to use barbells and want to feel like a star doing it, Olympic weightlifting with the Fitness & Performance team is for you! 

This program is open to all members. No previous experience is necessary. All equipment is provided. 

Program capacity: Maximum of 20 participants per session. 

FALL PROGRAM:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Mon. Sep. 18 to Mon. Nov. 20 (8-weeks) - Registration link here

  • No class on Mon. Oct. 9 (Thanksgiving Holiday) and Mon. Nov. 6 & Wed. Nov. 8 (Reading Week)

This program is geared towards those who have some experience with Olympic weightlifting but are looking to refine their technique, learn new skills and progress with their lifting goals. This 4-week program provides the structure and community to prepare you for a fun throw down with friends! 

This program is open to all members. Previous experience weight training and Olympic weightlifting is necessary. All equipment is provided. 

Program capacity: Maximum of 20 participants per session.

Equipment & what to wear

Participants are asked to wear comfortable and appropriate attire and footwear that's suitable for fitness and gym activities. All equipment will be provided for the workout.
