Join us for a special hike with Sport & Rec, in partnership with Let's Hike T.O.!

Welcome to the Mono Cliff hike! Mono Cliffs is a beautiful park located on the Bruce Peninsula. With cliffs and rocky canyons, this is a diverse location. At this time of year we are sure to see the leaves changing and mushrooms peeking out!

The hike loop is approx 10km, and we will be pacing approx. 4 km/hr to keep to our schedule of 3 hours. The terrain is diverse! A lot of rock, root and uneven terrain in many areas, whereas other areas are flat. We encourage solid hiking shoes, trail runners or sneakers with GOOD TRACTION to traverse the rocky paths, particularly if it turns out to be a wet day as it will be slippery.  Please also bring rain gear if it is in the forecast as it is a rain or shine hike!

Transportation: Bus transportation to and from Mono Cliffs will be provided (and is the reason for the $5.00 registration fee). The bus will be leaving and returning to the Athletic Centre (55 Harbord St.). Please meet at the Athletic Centre on the morning of the hike by 9:00 a.m., and expect to return to campus around 4:30-5:00 p.m. depending on traffic.

Food: Please pack enough water for your day, as well as snacks and lunch. We will stop for a brief food/bathroom break.

Washrooms: There are no washrooms or water supply along the hike, so please be prepared to use nature's "facilities" if necessary. Bring tissue and a ziploc bag for disposal after the hike.

Bags & storage: Hikers will be able to leave non-valuable belongings on the bus while we hike.
