This ~6km walk will take us from one side of Toronto Island to the other. After the walk, participants are welcome to continue exploring the island on thier own.

The route is approximately 6 km, consisting of mostly paved terrain.

Start end end points. We'll start the hike at the Jack Layton ferry terminal, meeting by the statue of Jack Layton riding a bicycle. We'll end the hike at Ward's Island ferry, for participants to either ferry back to mainland, or continue exporing the island on your own.

What to bring. We encourage you to bring a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and a fully charged phone or camera for photos (and maybe some snacks for the walk!).

Participants are also welcome to bring games and equipment like frisbees, spikeball, picnic blankets, etc. to enjoy on the island after the walk has ended.

These special hikes will leave from around the St. George Campus and will take students on a journey through local streets, green spaces, and ravines.

You're invited to come connect, learn, build community and friendships, and enjoy gentle movement outdoors together. Register today as spots are limited! Further details and reminders will be emailed to registrants before the hike.
