COVID Protocols for Child & Youth Programs

Sport & Rec takes great pride in providing children and youth with opportunities for learning the fundamentals of physical activity and sport in an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates the unique abilities of each child.

Your child’s safety and enjoyment of our program are of paramount concern to us. In addition to the Sport & Rec overall COVID protocols, below are the COVID-19 protocols that have been put in place for Child & Youth programming. The information below is essential information to create the best and safest possible experience for everyone.

We are closely monitoring the evolving situation and adapting our operations to align with the latest protocols from provincial health authorities and the University of Toronto.

Please take the time to read through this information and stay up to date with the latest protocols and guidelines while preparing for programming and being on campus.

COVID Protocols

COVID safety measures

  • Participants should sanitize their hands before entering the facility.
  • Participants should bring water bottles, as the water stations are for refilling only.
  • Equipment and spaces will be sanitized as needed.
  • It is strongly recommended that participants use the bathroom prior to arrival.

Vaccination & Pre-Screening Requirement

Effective March 1, Sport & Rec will no longer require enhanced vaccination certificates with QR codes to access our facilities. We ask that parents continue to screen themselves and their children to watch for signs of COVID-19 and stay home if symptoms are present.

The University’s Mask Guideline will be paused as of July 1, 2022, subject to any changes in public health guidance. Some members of our community may choose to continue to wear a mask after July 1. We ask everyone to respect each other’s decisions, comfort levels, and health needs. It is vitally important that, even with the easing of provincial measures, we remain vigilant, conscientious, and respectful of one another.
